Edinburgh Leisure, which runs sports and leisure centres
on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council, may be about to
close Dalry Swim Centre which in addition to being the only
pool in the area, contains a recently refurbished gym.
Dalry baths have been here for over a hundred years and
are a well-loved and well-used facility in the community.
Edinburgh Leisure is expected to return a surplus this
year. Given the poor health record of Scots, we don't
understand why the centre should even be even under threat
of closure.
